“Good value and location for a busy week in Eugene”
3 of 5 starsReviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile
We were in town to participate in the Eugene marathon which coincided with the world junior championships. The star rating was appropriate for the hotel and the location being about 1mile from the Hayward Field made for an easy walk. The staff offered exceptional service and was extremely friendly. Our room was clean and located near the back of the property away from the road which was quiet and key for a great nights sleep which contributed to a PR for both my wife and myself!

“Best deal in Eugene”

My son moved to Eugene 5 yrs ago. I stayed at the Broadway Inn the first year I visited him and I continue to stay here every year and refer all family members to stay here. Yes, it is old, but it is clean and very close walking distance to downtown. The front desk folks have always been extremely polite and I have never had a problem with a reservation. Continental breakfast is standard so if you need more to eat then go find a restaurant. Like I said, been coming here for 5 years and I am about ready to book again for my sons August birthday this year. This establishment is not the Hilton, but by far, it is comfortable, affordable, clean, and convenient for a few nights stay in wonderful Eugene.
Room Tip: I prefer the rooms at the rear of the property but have not been disappointed with those close to th...

“Good Value in Eugene”

I was in Eugene for a film festival and stayed at the Broadway Inn which was just down the street. Overall a very pleasant motel and a great value. Very clean, friendly staff, nicely kept, great location. The motel is not new, but is quite highly maintained and provides excellent value for the money. I would certainly stay there again!

“Always good service”

I (and wife) always stay here when traveling to Eugene. About once a year for a conference or dealings with UO. On this trip (Feb. 2014) I made the mistake of booking through Expedia. I decided to leave early since my main work at conference was done. B'way Inn had no problem giving me a refund if Expedia agreed. Something to do with contractual arrangement they have.
B'way Inn desk person went above and beyond to help me bug Expedia to get their agreement. It took us at least four calls and I was put on ignore ("hold") by Expedia for over half an hour on one of them. The get 1 star, and that only because they finally did cough up $60. What a hassle for $60. Tip from B'way Inn--get lowest rates you can find through travel services, then call directly and they will match rate.
One star off? Because the motel is on a stretch of street in Eugene that treats pedestrians like litter; poor and very narrow sidewalk next to a very busy arterial. What a car focused town for being so "green." I take train into town and walk everywhere.
Don't expect lots of frills. This is a basic, clean, well run bargain motel. With bagels and coffee for breakfast. I don't like reviews by people who mark places down because they're "cheap." If you want more, pay more somewhere else. Eugene is not expensive.
Room Tip: Toward the back (away from Broadway).
